Thanks to our members, staff and volunteers for another great month of events at dates n mates. We have had a blast and now that December is here it’s time to start looking forward to the festive season!
5th November Fireworks
We kicked of November with a bit of tradition going down to the beach to watch the fireworks. We had a nice meal at Frankie and Benny’s first then we all headed round to find a good spot to watch the show. We got there just as the fireworks started and luckily the weather held out for us!
Cocktail Class
We all had a great time at the cocktail class in Revolution. We had the top bar to ourselves where we got to get behind the bar and make any cocktails we wanted. There were many very delicious looking cocktails and mocktails and our teacher was great giving us some of the story behind the drinks as they were being made.
Disco
We went to a disco in the community for our third event in November, there was a really great turnout at the disco and a good group from dates n mates too. We had a great time dancing together and meeting new and old friends.
Music Evening
Our music evening was a good laugh we heard and joined in with lots of songs. Anyone who wanted a turn got a shot of singing into the mic. Music is such a good thing for lifting spirits and bringing everyone together.
Cinema
For our last event of December, we decided to go and see Frozen 2. This was a suggestion by one of our members and we actually went to see it on her birthday which was great fun. The film was great and lovely to catch up with everyone beforehand.
